Why I created this blog

I've been a blogger for over 5 years. Posting here and there whenever a topic that interests me affords me the opportunity to vent my spleen. Oftentimes, however, there is no topic on point, and blog moderators exercise their self-given editorial powers to extinguish the debate.

I blog on matters of international, national, and local interest. I'm a Los Angeleno, so obviously my interests tend towards those topics and politicians who affect Los Angeles, either directly or indirectly.

As the name of this blog implies, it centers around those of our elected officials who abuse the trust that had been given to them. I know, the list is endless. However, as the longest journey is started with a single step, here is the start of my journey in my quest to out useless, glad-handing phony politicos who thrive on fear and intimidation, and an asleep at the wheel populace who vote without knowing exactly who or what they vote for.

So I say "farewell" to Mayor Sam, Griffith Park Wayist, Street Hassle, LA Weekly, LA Now, WitnessLA and a host of other blogs where I was but a contributor awaiting the approval of my comment. Now I'm in the driving seat, and I can say what I like and you can reply as you like, as long as you keep it clean, reasonably relevant, and non-defamatory.

This is an open thread, if you have found this blog you're probably pretty smart, opinionated, left or right of center, and have something to say, so have at it. If you have a politician who needs to be outed, say it here and I'll do my research and together we'll give the public what they need; a little more information.

Stay tuned for the Political Pantload of the Year Award, nominations are now invited.
